Noha Mahmoud
“An Egyptian journalist and novelist, she serves as deputy editor-in-chief of Al-Gomhuria newspaper. Her works are distinguished by their human depth and interest in the details of daily life and the feminine self.
She has published several novels and creative books, including: Storytelling on Marble Cubes (Merit 2007 – Al-Shorouk 2009), Rakusha (2010), Hallucinations (Al-Sada – Dubai 2013 / Rawafed 2014), The Biography of Tawfiq, known as Toto (Batana 2018), and Walking on Extended and Distant Roads (Kayan 2024). She has also published literary books such as Noha’s Scrapbooks and A Girl of Paper, and a children’s story collection titled Dreams of the Red Onion.
She won the Dubai Cultural Award in 2010 for her novel Hallucinations and the Sawiris Literary Award in 2019 for her short story collection, Those Sitting on the Balcony Until Zainab Comes.”
