Nancy Springer

Born in Montclair, New Jersey, she moved at the age of thirteen to Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, where she lived for many years before relocating in 2007 to an isolated area in North Florida. There, she dedicated herself to writing alongside her other interests, such as horseback riding, fishing, and birdwatching.
She won the Edgar Allan Poe Award from the Mystery Writers of America for two consecutive years, solidifying her standing in crime literature, despite not initially categorizing herself within the genre. Among her most notable works in this context is the novel Dark Lie, which marks her first venture into psychological thrillers for the mass market.
