Mostafa Abeid is an Egyptian writer, journalist, novelist, and historical researcher. Born in Cairo on October 28, 1976, he graduated from the Department of Islamic Antiquities at the Faculty of Archaeology, Cairo University, in 1998. He currently serves as the Executive Editor-in-Chief of the Egyptian newspaper Al-Wafd, where he also writes a regular weekly column.
Abeid has authored a diverse range of works spanning historical studies, novels, biographies, and translations. His literary contributions have earned him several prestigious accolades, including the Best Translated Book Award at the Cairo International Book Fair in 2021.
Throughout his journalistic career, he has contributed articles to numerous prominent Egyptian and regional publications, including Al-Ahram and Al-Wafd.
While his literary journey began in poetry—publishing five collections—he later transitioned to prose, specializing in historical fiction and biographical writing, blending his academic background in archaeology with his passion for narrative storytelling.
