Faeqa Qunfali

Faika Qonfali is a Tunisian writer and philosophy professor, born on September 24, 1987, in Thala. Since 2011, she has served as a philosophy professor at the Ministry of Education in the Republic of Tunisia, blending her academic career with literary creativity.

Academic Background
She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy in 2010, followed by a degree from the École Normale Supérieure (ENS) in Philosophy in 2011. In 2017, she received a Master’s degree in Philosophy from the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences in Tunis, with a thesis exploring the concept of friendship in Arab and Greek traditions. Proficient in both Arabic and French, she has facilitated numerous literary and intellectual workshops tailored for children and young adults.

Cultural Contributions and Awards
Qonfali has participated in several national literary forums and published articles in various print and digital journals. She has garnered several accolades, most notably:

First Prize at the International Book Fair (2010) for her story Under the Rain (That Matar).

Shortlisted for the Abdelwahab Ben Ayed Prize (2023) for her novel The Ballet Dancer.

She is a member of the Tunisian Writers Union and served on the cultural committee for the Tunis International Book Fair in 2024.
