Enas El Turkey

Enas Mohamed Ali El-Turki is an Egyptian writer and academic, born on October 20, 1973, in Cairo. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature from the Faculty of Arts, Ain Shams University, in 1995. She then went on to obtain her Master’s degree in English Literature in 1999, followed by a PhD in English Literature from the same university in 2003.

Academic Career
She began her academic career as a Teaching Assistant in the Department of English at the Faculty of Arts, Ain Shams University, in 1996. She progressed through academic ranks to the position of Lecturer (Mudaris) before resigning in 2008.

Literary Contributions
Alongside her academic path, El-Turki has made a significant mark in the literary field. Her published works include:

Diaries of a Frustrated Citizen in Protected Egypt (Yawmiyat Muwatina Mafrousa fi Misr al-Mahrousa), published by Dar Sharqiyat in 2011.

“Ithaca” and “Heliopolis”: Two award-winning short stories that won the Makan literary competition in 2013 and were published in the anthology Makan by Dar Kayan.

The Third Time’s a Charm (Al-Talta Ah): A short story collection published in 2014 by Dar Kayan.
