Ahmed Sabry Abu EL-Futouh

An Egyptian novelist and lawyer whose star rose in the world of literature following the publication of his monumental novel series, The Epic of the Saraswa. The work received immense critical and public acclaim and was awarded the Sawiris Cultural Award for Best Novel in the Senior Writers category in 2010.

He completed his secondary education at Ahmed Lutfi El-Sayed School in Al-Sinbillawin in 1971, then earned his Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from Cairo University in 1975. His legal career began as a Deputy Public Prosecutor, and he rose through the judicial ranks to become Chief Prosecutor. He later resigned from the judiciary to pursue a career in private practice as an attorney.
