Sherine Sami
Sherine Sami is an Egyptian writer, a graduate of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Cairo University. She has published a collection of short stories and five novels: “The Butterfly’s Chain,” “Hanna,” “Whoever Tasted Knows,” “The Rooms,” and “The Great Lady,” as well as the book “154 Ways to Say I Miss You.” Her novel “Smile to Be Stronger” was shortlisted for the Etisalat Award for Arabic Children’s Literature in the young adult category and won the Abdul Hameed Shoman Award for Children’s Literature in 2025. She has written numerous articles for Egyptian and Arab websites and translated prominent works into Arabic, such as “Hopeless,” Colleen Hoover’s novel “Lost,” and Rebecca Yaros’s “The Fourth Wing.”
