The closest ones become accused of harm—the very person who should have protected her from any misfortune. She endured what he could do when someone stood up to him; it struck her down utterly, turning her world upside down!
Such emotions cannot be taken lightly; they either strengthen the resolve or break the spirit. Had a stranger done to her what he did, she wouldn’t have spent even a fraction of a second trying to forget it. Perhaps more time would be needed, but it would never leave such a butterfly effect on her life.
