Abel Lanotha is released from a psychiatric hospital hoping to resume his old life with his wife, son, and friends. However, he finds out that his uncle has died and left him an inheritance consisting of a house and land in the village of Muirdelmas, an isolated village with its own rules imposed by the Osset family. Abel decides to live there for a while with his family in an attempt to recover and remember the past, which has been a great mystery to him. However, many problems occur and many surprises are revealed.
