As soon as you open the book and start reading the first story, you’ll find yourself saying: “We all are that mother whose kids are driving her crazy, to the point where she starts talking to herself.” At times, they even push her to the same state as “Abdel Fattah Al-Qusary” in that film (which I can’t remember the name of, due to the erosion my memory has suffered), when he messed up his hair and kept saying, “Chicks… chicks…” We are all that mother, that woman, and we are also Abdel Fattah Al-Qusary and his chicks.
I hope you enjoy this book, which is my first “breakthrough” with satirical writing, blending both colloquial and classical Arabic.
