The novel follows a series of terrorist bombings carried out by an Islamist group in Britain, leading to a shocking decision: all British Muslims are exiled to a remote island surrounded by walls. Left to govern themselves, the island quickly descends into chaos. With no services, no laws, and growing violence, it becomes a dangerous place ruled by criminals and gangs, where survival is uncertain.
