This is a new rendition of the famous story “Two Sailors,” originally the 53rd entry in the Fantasy series by Dr. Ahmed Khaled Tawfik. It incorporates a significant number of modifications and changes, which were substantial enough for the work to win the Mustafa Azouz Award for Children’s Literature in 2018. This also marks the beginning of a new, unfinished series that references another story about the Great Fire of Rome.The narrative follows a journalist who possesses a time machine in the form of a telephone booth, enabling him to travel through time freely to witness and document important historical events. In this novel, he recounts the story of the encounter between the sea lion, Emirati Ahmad ibn Majid, and the Portuguese tyrant Vasco da Gama.
